What Should Be Done After Ingestion Of Kerosene?
hi my mother has accidentally taken kerosene instead of taking water . And the intake of kerosene is one gulp or two (not sure) . The doctor has adviced to give saline and one injection to avoid blocking in heart . Kindly advice if wash is required ? Urgently

I really appreciate your concern, minimal quantity may not need any aggressive treatment but care need to bet taken for corrosive effect of esophagus mucosal lining and gastric region ant that may happens after some hours but may not happens if it is little amount being ingested, if the amount is high then gastric lavage is necessary and it is the medical emergency, may cause the toxic effect, it may even cause the organ failure hope this information helps.
