I have had L5 S1 disctecomy about 4 years ago. I then reherniated L3 L4 it has gradually gotten worse and worse. I was on pain meds for along time and became addicted. I have been off pain meds for 3 years now and I am afraid to have my back looked at but I can hardly walk or bend over YYYY@YYYY
Adjacent level disc prolapse is a known entity usually seen after 5-7 years of first surgery. Consult your spine surgeon. If compression is severe and worsening and conservative management is not working you may need surgery again. This time be careful with your habits in sitting and follow correct posture management more rigidly .
