What Symptoms Can Brain Tumor Exhibit Other Than Speaking Difficulties, Memory Loss?
Hi my father has been diagnosed with an untreatable brain tumour, it is on the side of the brain of his memory. Apart from difficulty speaking and remembering he has no other symptoms. Can you advise what symptoms are to follow. He was diagnosed 8 weeks ago. Thank you
Brain tumors can present with a variety of symptoms. These can be non-specific like headache, vomiting, seizures, blurring of vision. Also, they can be specific to the location of the tumor as different parts of the brain control different functions of the body. These can be paralysis, difficulty in swallowing, facial palsy, severe pain in a particular area like the face, loss of control of urination or defecation, and finally loss of breathing control. Also, there are treatments available for untreatable brain tumors that can increase the life span of the patient and delay the development of these symptoms. These treatments include various types of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. You should consider these in conjunction with an oncologist.
