The extent of
brain damage depends on the amount of carbon monoxide exposure and also its duration of exposure.
PET scan of brain and EEG tests would help to quantify the brain dysfunction (in addition to the clinical neurological examination).
Recovery may be delayed, and also it may not be complete.
