What Test Is Required For An Ovarian Cyst Detection?

I recently had an mri done and it revealed a 3.1cm cyst within my right ovary. About 3 months ago, I had an pelvic ultrasound done and the results showed a normal right ovary. The mri report does not indicate what kind of cyst it is. Do I need a different test to find this out also, can an ovarian cyst grow that quickly in just a few months? I was consuming a high intake of chocolate and icecream over the past 6 months, might that be related to causing a cyst. I am 50 years of age. Thank you kindly for your advice.
