Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What time of day is best to take abilify? I'm also taking Cymbalta, in the morning for depression and anxiety. Every once in a while I still have a hard time staying asleep at night. I thought the pharmacist said to take in the morning and my counseller was shocked at my appt. today that I was still having trouble sleeping while being on abilify, now I'm questioning whether I heard the pharmacist correct
Thank you for asking! The two drugs which you mentioned are anti depressants (Cymbalta - Duloxetene) and antipsychotics(Abilify- Aripiprazole) Both have a common adverse effect of insomnia / difficulty sleeping. So No wonder you have trouble sleeping. Best way to take the drug in the morning and using smallest possible doses is the solution. Get to your psychiatrist for dose readjustments and further management. Regards
