What To Do For Abscess In The Buttock?

hello my father has an abcess on his bum which is causing him much pain and disstress he has been given 500mg zinnat every 12 hours but after 4 days the swelling has gone down but the pain remains they have cut the two abbcess's and they are draining slowly. My question is can Flucloxacillin or dicloxacillin be more effective and is there any chance of him flying back from the carribean to be treated in United Kingdom he is having trouble sitting down and needs to be on his side if he was to fly.
