Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has not been diagnosed and seems to be getting worse all the time. He has anxiety, and temper problems. He is a perfectionist and expects everyone around him to be one too. He has severe pain all the time and tries to manage it with pain medication. (Norco and Pot) Both of his hips need to be replaced and he has compression in several places in his spine. He has also been diagnosed with 2 foot and 1 hand syndrome. He is also taking medication for Neuralgia & Thyroid. He tends to accidently hurt himself, once in awhile pretty bad.
I think, he has depressive disorder. In that case, anxiety symptoms and somatic complaints are part of depression. You should consult a psychiatrist for proper diagnosis and management. He needs antidepressant like duloxetine that would help to control depressive and somatic complaints. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
Thanks
