What To Do For Hot Flashes, Night Sweats Caused By Hysterectomy?

I suffer from hot flashes and night sweats which is being caused by my hysterectomy and a friend said that her chiropractor suggested that she take Thytropin PMG to help with her symptoms of hot flashes and night sweats but she does have problems with her thyroid. What would you suggest?

Thyrotropin will not help for your menopausal symptoms unless they are being caused by a thyroid problem. I would suggest that you try some of the herbal products that are available over the counter for menopausal symptoms. Herbs such as dong Kwai, evening primrose, soy, and black cohosh can be helpful to some women. If this does not help, you may want to discuss with your doctor if hormone therapy is right for you. I hope this answer was helpful, and I hope you feel better soon!
