What To Do If Clear Substance And Permanent Tube That Was Placed In Ear Came Out After Using Ear Wax Removal Drops?
I went to my doctor about a month ago for a check up, when she said I had a lot of wax build up in my ear, and gave my this ear wax removal drops. I used for about three days and nothing seemed to happen except it seems to clog my ears from hearing. I returned to the doctor and she said to use it for a little while longer and the wax should be gone and my hearing back as normal. I was using the drops and noticed my permanent tube that had been placed in my ear some years back came out, and my hearing is not back and my ear is draining a clear substance for about a week now. im 43 years of age please give some advise. thank you....Troy

The permanent tube would have come out long time back , but since you were having wax , therefore it did not come out of the ear , most of the wax solvents will increase the clogging feeling for 2-3 days since they swell the wax , but if you continue to use them , the wax will come out, as in your case.
You may be having a recurrence of what is called as secretory otitis media , for which the tubes were placed, i would like you to meet your ent doctor for confirming this and further treatment.
