I had chickengunia last year.swelling and pain on lower portion of legs persists. what is the remedy> I had chicken gunia last year. Swelling and pain on the lower portion of left leg persists. how long it will coninue? what is the remedy?

Hello sir, You are one among the many who are suffering from this problem ,post chikungunya.This arthritis is known to persist for as long as 2-3 years post infection.There have been many recommendations regarding the treatment for this particular problem. Many doctors prefer a low dose steroid with Hydroxychloroquine as a supplement.Chikungunya has been know to trigger many inflammatory arthritis, so you need to visit a general physician or even better a rheumatologist to get a proper evaluation done.
If you are from kerala i can suggest some good centres where you can get yourself evaluated.kindly let me know.
