Lack of fever in an infant does not imply an absence of infection. Please seek immediate medical evaluation and treatment. The ear infection, if any, can be easily treated. There are many other signs to be seen on actual examination such as heart rate, breathing pattern, hydration and so on. The sign of the body becoming limp at times should not be ignored. It may signify exhaustion, dehydration, low blood sugar levels or shunting of blood to vital organs.
