What Treatment Is Suggested For Frequent Cough And Fatigue?
I have cold like constant blowing of nose and frequent cough and fatigue and am having trouble sleeping. I have these cough/sneeze attacks and my eyes water and can.t even see where I am going. I have had these problems for the past (12) days and I am not getting better....what is going on?
Your symptoms indicate a common viral infection (flu). I suggest the following to ease your symptoms:
- take more fluids (water, tea) - get otc anti-coughing medicines. If your cough is productive should use carbocystein syrup or pastilles to ease coughing - herbal cough medicines are also good choices - take o.t.c painkillers - keep the air well humidified - do aerosol-therapy with warm saline/chamomile tea - use nasal saline - get multivitamin to gain energy
If symptoms won't resolve within a week, should consult your physician to exclude pneumonia and to start oral antibiotic treatment.
Wish you fast recovery! Dr.Bardha
