Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding vertigo followed by ear ache, and your doctor adviced for mineral oil to ear.

As per your symptoms it appears as you are suffering from acute otitis media with vertigo. It is most of the times is viral and is self limiting. Now you are advice for -

1- Tab paracetamol.

2- Anti histaminic.

3- Steam inhalation.

4- Decongestants.

5- Antivertigerous medicines like - betahistine / cinnarzine / stemetil.

Usually it will subside in a weeks time otherwise ENT consultation will become necessary.

Regards.
