My daughter 13 1/2 yr old has fever temp 101/102 for the past two days with abdominal pain and She has not passed motion for 2days. No running nose, cough, but head ache, ache above the eyes etc. she is advised azimax 250 for 3 days once a day. What fever is it? Should we go for any blood test?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Since your daughter has fever , pain in abdomen and has not passed motion, it is possible that she is suffering from some intestinal infection. It is important to take her to the Doctor for the following reasons: Clinical evaluation, examination. Investigations of blood, urine, stool when passed. X-ray of the abdomen and ultrasound of the abdomen. CT scan if something is suspected on the above investigations to get a confirmed diagnosis and a plan for the management.
She needs an antibiotic and symptomatic treatment to start with and surgery if appendicitis is diagnosed.
