I am a 34 yr old female who has a headache the majority of every week. Pain medication just does not work. I have gone to a Chiropracter which helps a little..but never long term. These headaches ALWAYS start at the base of my skull on the right side which is sensitive to touch, and wraps around to the top of my head and feels like it is stabbing me in the eye. My neck/base of skull pain I would describe as a burning pain. I am trying to figure out what type of headache this might be and should I be seeking someone other than a chiropracter?
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Your symptoms seem to be related to tension type headaches. Tension headaches are dull pain, tightness, or pressure around your forehead or the back of your head and neck. Often called stress headaches, they're the most common type for adults. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest to consult a chiroprotector.
