When Can Chicken Be Given For Children Suffering With Chicken Pox?

My 2 son ( age 10 and 15) have chickenpox for about more than a week now ! The blister are starting to dry up! Old folk told not to give them chicken , eggs or fish because the blister will become fresh again , is that is true? When is the time I can feed my kids with chicken or eggs? Bec they craving for chicken stew! Thank you! Anne

Hello. Thank you for your question. You can start feeding them these foods at any time. there is no medical prohibition of these foods, even when the lesions are active. They will not reappear.
