General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I am assuming she has been experience an anovulatory cycle all these years; and the injection taken was the hCG injection. It can take about 36 hours and sometimes even longer for the egg to be released and for ovulation to take place. So be patient, and just follow your doctors orders and instructions, they are here to help.

Best wishes.
