When Do Periods Start After Taking Meprate?

Hello . I am a 25 year old unmarried girl suffering from PCOS from past 4 years. I tried everything from Ayurveda to homeopathy and allopathy too. Recently from Jan 2016 I was advised to take dronis 20 for 21 days from 5th day of my period.. I got scanty flow in Jan, Feb and march. I didn t take for April to see if it comes on its own but missed the periods in April. Hence the gynaecologist told me to take meprate tablet for 10 days from 16th day after my periods. .I got the period after taking another tablet. In July my periods were supposed to come by Saturday 16th July. Till now I have not got it... how many days still will it take for periods to come. My other tests show normal. When can I expect my periods ????

Hello,

In PCOD (polycystic ovary disease), hormonal imbalance is the main reason for irregular periods.

So in my opinion, you should get done detailed hormone levels to identify exact hormonal imbalance. According to the report, you need specific hormone replacement therapy. Once your hormones normalize, you will be alright.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
