When Should I Take An HIV Test After Being Pricked With A Needle?
my wife is a dentist. around 2 weeks before she got pricked by a needle which was used to deliver local anaesthesia to a patient. She was wearing gloves that time and as soon as she was pricked by that needle she oozed out the blood from the site of prick and applied betadine solution. The needle though didnt have blood on it. I want to know after how many days she should undergo HIV Tests like elisa etc and what precaution should we take while having a cozy time in bed ?

First of all you should know the hiv status of patient there after you should worry regarding getting infected. if the status is reactive than you think about diagnosis. in diagnosis for confiramtion you should go for p24 antigen that give you result in 21 days. hiv rna pcr that give you result in 1 month. elisa like test may be negative in window period, so not advicable.
