When Should Mirtazapine Be Taken In The Evening For Optimal Benefits?
Hi. I am taking 30mg Mirtazapin at bedtime,I am still waking every couple of hours during the night, but feel groggy in the morning .Should I take the mirtazapin earlier in the evening so that I am not groggy in the morning as it may have worn off by then?
Thanks for asking at Healthcare magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Mirtazapine has half life of 20-40 hours and reach to peak level after two hours. If you take an hour before going to sleep it will be better. I would also like to recommend you to decrease the dose as 30 mg is more rather decrease it to 20 mg at gradually at two weeks interval. Take plenty of fluids as it's route of elimination is through kidneys. Hope it helps best. Don't forget to rate this answer and close the discussion at Healthcare Magic. Take your best care.
