Hello doctors, My baby girl is 8.5 months(25/11/2010), next month September to give Measles vaccination, let me know whether it should be given at the end of 9th month or any date is possible within 9th month. Is there any fever or anything after taking vaccination. Thanks
Hi...Usually measles vaccine is given 9th to 10th month. if there are any cases of measles reported in your locality - it can be taken earlier at 7th month too. other wise it can be taken at the end of 9th month. Her due was on 25-08-2011 as you mention her date of birth as 25-11-2010.
Fever might occur from 5-6 days after measles vaccine.
