Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Male, 200lbs, had hemorrhoid. When to see surgeon about the problem to see if I needed surgery. I guess, I just feel awkward because really don't like anyone messing with anything. Dr. told me to laydown on my side with butt towards him. And he quickly openned my "checks" to check the area. He didn't touch the area and he told me he wasn't going to touch the hemmoroid area but why do I really feel awkward about the situation?
Hello.Surgery for haemorrhoids is indicated in function of symptoms, not by the size or appearance of hemorrhoidsIf you have persistent symptoms (anal itching, bleeding, anal pain, pain with defecation ...) that do not improve with conservative treatment (corticosteroid cream, anesthetic cream, laxatives, cold applied ....) surgery is necessary.I wish you good health.
