Which Exercise Should I Take To Recover From Leg Tear?
I was just surfing and did a top turn going to the right so I am facing the wave, with my left leg leading as I have use my left leg to drive the board down and felt a rip or tear in the under side of my leg. From your site I believe it is the Semimembranosus. I can still walk hurts to squat and touching toes. Sitting down hurts form knee to under side of groin. If it hasn t snapped what is the recovery or is this more serious and should get it checked out if its just a time thing. What exercise should I do to help the recover and do I need to take more protein to help?
It looks like you have had a ligament tear. Consult an orthopaedican. A MRI scan might be required. Do not perform vigorous exercises or squats and lunges for now. Review with reports. If injury is severe a surgery might be required or else a splint or brace may be provided till the problem heals. Physiotherapy will help you recover and strengthen your muscles.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
