Psychiatrist 's  Response
hi
thanks for using healthcare magic

In schizoaffective disorder, patient need both mood stabilizer and antipsychotic agent. Time of drug mainly depend upon the symptoms. If she has more mood symptoms, then she is a higher dose of mood stabilizer which is already on i.e. lithuim. In case of psychotic symptoms, improvement depends upon antipsychotic. No doubt risperidone is better antipsychotic then latuda and seraquel. If she did not get improvement with lasuda, seraquel or risperidone, then she could be switched to clozapine. Rest u can discuss with treating psychiatrist.

Thanks
