Which Medication Among Lamictal And Keppra Is Best For Controlling Seizures?
Which medication would be best for controlling seizures if you had to chose between Lamictal and Keppra? The Keppra is being used now but has bad side effects of aggitation and drowsiness to the point of having to take another medication, Abilify for the aggitation.

Lamictal is a newer second line of antiepileptics which is usually used in conjuction with other first line drugs to attain seizure control.However Keppra can be used as a single drug with good seizure control.However its side effects can be managed by adequately titrating the dose.So to answer your question i would still chooser Keppra of the two
