Which Medication Can Help In Lowering Potassium Level When Having Medicines For Heart Disease?

I am on the following medications for heart disease: febifubrate 160 mg, ranexa 500 mg twice a day, hydrochlorothizide 25 mg a day, metformin 500 mg twice a day, clopidogrel 75 mg a day, losartan potassium 50 mg a day, avorstation 40 mg, low dose aspirin 1 a day, fish oil 2400 mg a day. I had blood work yesterday and was informed that my potassium level is at 51 which is high. Can a med or combo of meds elevate my level.
I do not have a return appointment for a week with the cardiologist. What can I do until then to lower my P level?

Dear madam/sir, you are on losartan which can cause high pottasium in blood. So consult your physician/cardiologist regarding this. There are drugs to reduce pottasium like potassium binders and also restrict salt in diet. Better to get evaluated to see if other causes are there which can cause high pottasium in blood ( renal parameters like urea, creatinine also should be assessed ). Hope u find this informative.
