White Dot On Soft Palate, Pain Near Throat. Had Cold Few Days Back. What Could Be This?
Hi. I have a small white dot on my soft palate which is slightly painful as well as slight pain near my throat but not on it. What could this be? The pain is similar to that which I get when I have a sore throat, but it is not affecting my throat directly. Also, I have had a bit of a cold in the past few days, but no fever.

White Dot On Soft Palate, Pain Near Throat. Had Cold Few Days Back. What Could Be This?
Hello, Thanks for writing to us. White dot on soft palate can occur either due to infected tooth associated or due to tobacco or pan chewing causing oral lesions. I would advice you to get a thorough clinical evaluation by a dentist. Infected tooth if associated, has to be root canal treated or extracted. Discontinue tobacco or pan chewing if you practice any. Maintain oral hygiene well. Vitamin b complex as well as iron supplements has to be administered. Hope this helps.
