White Foam In The Mouth Of A 5 Year Old While Sleeping. Is There Anything Wrong With The Respiratory System?
My 5 yr old boy was on his back sleeping when we noticed a light foam all in his mouth and coming out. He was congested. I turned him on his side the wheezing stooped and so did the foam. When he foams in his sleep does that mean something is wrong with his respiratory system? Or is it something minor? What is causing the foam?
Hi,
white foam may be from viral respiratory tract infection. or in child it may also be due to a disease called crop. but then the child should have more severe symptoms. you should also mention the respiratory rate, fever , refusal to food , any discoloration of skin . because in child any congenital cardiac anomaly also should be excluded. consult pediatrician.
