Hi,
HPT can read well 3-7 days after a missed period with a fresh early morning sample of urine. As it is not so sensitive, it cannot be read before a missed period. For this purpose, you should take the blood test for serum beta-hCG estimation which is both specific and sensitive. Ovulation is indicated in BBT chart by a sudden spurt in the temperature of up to 0.5 degrees. This is seen during mid-cycle. The discharge you have now is probably premenstrual. Hope your query is answered. Take care.
