Hi,
You seem to be having a superficial fungal infection known as pityriasis versicolor. Take tab fluconazole in a dose of 400 mg stat and apply ketoconazole or clotrimazole cream twice in a day for 10 to 15 days. This will treat your problem however the white patches will take time to disappear. It is a kind of chronic stubborn infection which tends to return in months of high humidity. For prevention try and avoid too much oiling of skin and wear loose unrestrictive clothes. Avoid excessive sweating or heat. If you have recurrent infection, you can always consult your dermatologist for single monthly doses of ketoconazole or itraconazole as preventive measures
