White Spot On The Gum Not Healing. What Is It?
Hello,
Last night after brushing my teeth I noticed a new tiny little white spot just under my gum line on the right Central Incisor that was not there the night before, I pressed down on it to see if it was a lump and it instantly turned red, they was no blood on the outside of the gum it looked as if it was bleeding on the inside, I checked again 2 hours later and the now red dot was now half the size, and in the morning there was no red dot so I thought it had healed. After work I went to brush my teeth and I took another good look and I noticed a tiny white pin sized hole, I got a pin and was able to feel the tooth on the other side confirming it was indeed a tiny hole. I have included an image that shows my gum line 5 days ago and shots of the gum line from last night until now. Will this ever heal? I am now really scared to brush near that spot in case I make it bigger and I am not sure how this has happened, I may have brushed a little too hard I that area last night. I suffer from anxiety and this is really scaring me, I do have a dentist appointment booked for a week this Friday.

According to tour clinical history i suppose that you have developed little lump like structure in your mouth due to trauma caused by faulty toothbrushing. There is no need to worry.
Apply Dologel oral ointment topically over the affected area.
Do not irritate the area.
Take lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses.
As you are going to visit the Dentist on Friday get a thorough clinical checkup done & if necessray take x-rays to determine the diagnosis and appropraite treatment plan

Thanx for the quiry. The clinical condition of yours that you have described, relates to condition which is called 'sinus' in relation to your central incisor. The most common reason for this kind of appearance is trauma to the offending tooth. Do you have a history of trauma on that particular tooth, even long time before ? If so, then your tooth become 'non-vital' i.e. the nerve and vessels inside your tooth are dead now and that lead to a chronic infection. A Peri-apical radiograph to the affected tooth will confirm the diagnosis. Also there are some tooth vitality tests. that can be carried out by a dentist to check the state of the tooth. There is nothing to worry. If the tooth become non-vital as a result of trauma, then the tooth can be treated with root canal treatment and the condition will subside.You should your dentist as early as possible.

I understand that you are facing a problem with tiny spot which has not healed. The lesion could be a abscess [collection of pus ] which is draining. Abscess could have formed due to trauma to the tooth due to which the pulp got damaged and lead to abscess formation.This can be treated by rootcanal treatment of the affected tooth. I would advise you to go dentist who will take an xray to diagnose your condition and treat accordingly.

From the details produced,i feel there is periodontal infection of involved tooth which results in formation of abscess underneath the tooth.
Please do get a thorough clinical as well as radiological examination by a dentist.
Deep scaling and root planning is required.
Pus within the lump has to be drained and curetted.
To prevent further occurrence of such lesions,maintain good oral hygiene.
Use soft-bristled toothbrush and dental floss to clean all aspects of teeth.
Use chlorhexidine mouthrinse to gargle.
Take complete course of antibiotics too.
