Hi, my daughter has been saying that she has presyncope symptoms. She said sometimes her eyes just closes briefly like she s going to faint and he ears feel like she is under water. She says it happens sometimes everyday or every other day. She also feels cold at times. What type of doctor should we see. ? Keeping in mind she has not gone to a doc yet. We just suspect it s presyncope
Hello. Good day. Thanks for writing to HCM. I am Dr Praveen and I will be answering your query today. I suggest you see a general physician to start with. You will need routine investigations like a blood count, ECG and electrolytes, blood glucose. After a physical examination which would also involve assessing your heart and carotid vessels which supply the brain he/she will direct you accordingly after further investigations either to a cardiologist/neurologist. I suggest you see a physician first because you need to start working up from the bascis. Wishing you good health. Warm regards.
