Why Am I Getting Frequent Ulcer Over Face And Chest With Sulpha Drugs?
I have a 29 year old daughter who is diabetic and has ulcers all over her face and has developed an ulcer on her chest . the one on her chest is new and the wound is the size of a pe.ncil erasue. The red inflamed area is anout the size if a softball. she went to the ER and they gave her sulpha drugs. but she is getting them more and more frequently. She has a doctor who treats her. But I think she needs to seek other help. Am I wrong?
Ulcerations are common in diabetics but such type of multiple ulcerations on face and chest seem to be unusual and unrelated to diabetes.
There are various bullous disorders in skin which are characterized by formation of erosions, fluid filled lesions, crusted lesiosn over body.
And these skin disorders have specific treatment which are started after only the diagnosis is confirmed.
Diagnosis is made by clinical examination and sometimes a test called biopsy is required.
So, i will advice you to visit a dermatologist so that proper examination of your daughter can be done and correct treatment can be started.
Hope she will get well soon.
