I have had chronic inflammation of pharynx for 8 months along with off and on hoarseness. My throat has not been sore. No sinus infection but have had somewhat persistent nasal drainage into throat that is worse in a.m. than in p.m. No cough or expectorant from lungs. What might be the cause and potential treatment?
Hi , As per your clinical history it appears as you are having persistent post nasal discharge which can be due to Chronic Rhino-sinusitis. Start Steam Inhalation , Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast ,Antibiotic azithromycin , Plenty of fluids . Investigation needed Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy.
I will suggest you to please consult your ENT doctor because here clinical examination is very important to diagnose the real fact and accordingly treatment may be planed. Hope this information helpful to you, take care and have a nice day. Regards - Dr KK ( Karade )
