Why Am I Having Constant, Localized Lower Back Pain In Right Iliac Crest Region Along With Mild Swelling For 3 Days?
Hi, 23 y/o female, having constant, localized low back pain in Right iliac crest region along with mild swelling for 3 days. No history of trauma, fall any heavy exercise or activity. Pain started suddenly when i was lying on bed 3 days back. What should I do?
Sexual position or sexual activity that puts pressure in that area may contribute to your symptoms. Sprain or strain, nerve impingement, inflammation of the ilio-lumber ligament, lower back muscles, hip flexors are weak or stressed out. You are advised to get clinically examined to rule out osteoarthritis, any trauma, bone growth, sacro-iliac bone dysfunction or bone tumor / cancer.
You will have to go through a few tests and investigations. Get it done so that treatment can be started. In the meantime, do not stress. Stay at rest. Apply Volini spray to the area affected to get rid of pain. Take analgesics to help reduce pain and inflammation. You can apply a pain relieving ointment on the affected area. Gentle massage may help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
