Why Am I Having Pain In My Groin?

I have been experiencing a pain in my groin I normally get this just before a period but this time intermittently throughout it as well. It can cause some pain lifting leg but today I have had two episodes so severe i couldn't walk or lift my leg for over 5 mins. there was some residual pain in my buttocks down to my knee. similar to sciatica but not the same. It happened again two hrs later not lasting as long. As far as I know I have not done anything to injure myself.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think that the first thing that is required for this condition of your is a ultrasound examination of whole abdomen to rule out other causes. Start a course of antibiotics Doxycycline and Metronidazole tablets for 10 days and take antispasmodic Drotaverine for cramping pain for 5 days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
