Why Am I Getting Recurring Herpes ?

Hello Doctor , I have been having more and more outbreaks of herpes . It feels like each month I have one and I am wondering what could be some of the main causes. I have about 8 fillings with amalgam do you suggest I get them removed?

Hi, Herpes outbreaks have no relation to the amalgam fillings. It is a viral outbreak. The virus lies dormant and gets activated causing all the symptoms. Are you sure it is Herpes? I think you are misinterpreting apthous ulcers as Herpes. Please visit a dentist. If there are any sharp teeth or any improper fillings, they lead to ulcers due to chronic irritation. Get the overhanging fillings smoothened if any. A correct diagnosis has to be made first. Take care!
