Why Am I Having Periods For 3 Weeks Now?

I've been taking birth control pills and I skipped the pink placebo pills twice in a row so I would skip my period. But now I'm on my period when I wasn't supposed to be and it's been going for almost 3 weeks now. What's wrong with me? And will my period stop soon?
