Why Am I Passing Stools And Gas After A Surgery?

hello ..i have a recto vaginal fistula,,got an surgery 2 n half months back..but now also i have the symtoms of passing of stooles..My Doctor said my fistula is 95% recoved and rest wil get fixed in som time..but since stooles and gas are passing i am worried that whether i wil be totally cured or wil hae to go with another surgery

Dear you may be developed recurrence of fistula so you may Need another setting of surgery. The odds of surgery success depend on what type of procedure you have. Abdominal surgery has the highest rate of success, at 95 percent.

Surgery through the vagina or rectum has about a 55 percent success rate. If the first surgery doesn’t work, you will need another procedure. if your symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
