Why Did I Experience Nausea And Vomiting While Not Having Consumed Alcohol?
I experienced the exact symptoms that happen when a person has had too much to drink, room spinning with eyes open and shut. feeling nauseated but not vomiting. This went on for three hours and today I feel weak and shaky. I have not consumed alcohol for 14 years. What could this be?
The symptoms that you have described are those of vertigo and can occur due to many reasons other than alcohol. It can occur as an adverse effect of medicines or due to inner ear disease as well as in migraine and motion sickness. If you are not on any medicines and do not have migraine, then probably this is due to inner ear disease like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuritis, labyrinthitis or ear infection. A consultation with an ENT specialist will help you find out what is wrong.
Best wishes.
