Why Did A Single Hive Resurface On Palm After Completing Presdnisone ?
I recently had a bout of hives was prescribed prednisone but on the last day one single hive resurfaced on the palm of my hand again. What could this be? I had also been given two doses of the steroid with two weeks between them about two weeks before the first hives surfaced. The hive is on the palm of my hand its not raised it itches but is mostly sore feeling kind of like a burn no bumps just roundish shaped

Hi,
You seem to have developed an allergic skin disease.
Such an allergy over the hand can occur due to contact of the skin with any new chemical or irritant agent.
You should avoid applying any kind of skin irritants like dettol, spirit over it.
You might need to apply a topical steroid cream over the affected area twice a day for few days.
Take some oral antihistamines along.
See a nearby dermatologist if the condition tends to persist despite this therapy.
You might need a course of oral steroids.
