Hi Doctor, I am 29 year old.1 month ago I had an early pregnancy failure. The usg showed that there was an empty gestational gestational sac of 10 weeks but there was no embryo inside it. My ovary was blighted. My doc gave me medicines to start my periods regularly. She suggested me to take pyricontin and novelon for three weeks. My question is that why did she suggest pyricontin? Can it be taken by anybody? Regards, Neelam
Hi there thanks for posting your query at HCM She has suggested pyricontin because it contain pyridoxine foliuc acid which are forms of vitamin that prevent neural tube defect that resulted in the early fetal demise of your fetus . Thus it can be taken by females in the reproductive age group . And who are planning pregnancy .
