Why Did My Wife Experience A Strong Taste Of Almonds Which I Could Noticeably Detect On Her Breath?
My wife suddenly complained of a foul smell but then realised it wasn t a smell - it was her taste. She experienced a strong taste of almonds which I could noticeably detect on her breath. She then felt dizzy. We are waiting for a return call from our GP. Additional note - her period had started prior to this, one week early. Please can you advise?

As per your query your wife has almond like smell , which can also be detected in her breath . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like hormonal imbalance , oral infection , acid reflux , diabetic condition or sinusitis . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test for diabetic condition , nasal endoscopy , CT scan for sinusitis and rule out oral infection . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) along with anti allergic . Doctor may also refer her to endocrinologist for proper evaluation of teh condition . Fow now drink plenty of water and suck on sugar free mint candy .
