Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So basically every time I stand up, everything is black, I feel dizzy and I almost pass out. I have been thoroughly checked by an internal doctor, I don t have anemia, my blood pressure is fine, and I drink at least 40 oz of water everyday. I m having a hard time eating due to nausea...could this be the cause?
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having Postural hypotension or called Orthostatic hypotension. In this condition when you standup from lying or sitting position, your blood pressure falls markedly giving rise to dizziness, nausea and black out sensation. Nothing to worry. Before stand up from lying down or sitting position wait for one to two minutes and then stand up. Before walking again wait for 1-2 minutes and then start walking. If this problem persisted then wear elastocrepe leggings up to knee. Ok and take care.
