Hello my name is Kathy, I have type 2 diabetes and taking 850mg Metformin. I can not get enough energy! I work a 9/80 schedual and sometimes have to work 12 hr shifts. (I'm a bookkeeper) I need a sharp mind and I feel as though I have not slept in days everyday eventhough I do get a good nights sleep. What can I do?
Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.
Lethargy is common in either higher blood sugar levels or lower blood sugar levels. First have a blood sugar level check. If they are higher or lower, either reduce or increase dosage of drug under guidance of your treating doctor.
The other possible reason could be of low Hb%. Check it out. Eat more leafy vegetables.
Hope this guides you. For any other queries you can write to me. I will be happy to help you. Thank you. Dr Phanindra Dulipala Diabetologist.
