Why Do I Feel Itchy At Different Spots On My Body?
I get itchy in different spots of my body as the day wears on. There are no rashes but just random sensations of itches on arms, back, scalp, etc. Any idea what could be causing this? No new detergents or different soaps being used. Could it just be dry skin?
You seem to have generalised pruritus of unknown cause. There may be some cause. It may be internal that is systemic or external that is some contact. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Investigations may be done to find out some cause. Tests for DM,HIV,anaemia, thyroid functions, renal functions, liver functions, blood diseases, autoimmune diseases..etc may be done. External causes like irritation or allergy due to cosmetics, dust, insects, pollutants, pollen, wool,soap,clothes...etc may be kept under consideration. Even dry skin..xerosis may be responsible for itching. You apply moisturiser like liq paraffin with alovera in the morning and mild steroids cream at night. Take anti histaminics like levocetirizine till itch is relieved. If needed, steroid may be taken in tappering dose. You might be improved. I hope got my answer.
Thanks.
