Hello!

Welcome to HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that this type of headache could be related to 'Primary stabbing headache' also called as 'Ice peak headache'.

This is a benign type of headache, usually without any obvious cause.

Nevertheless, I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful physical exam and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, inflammation tests, blood electrolytes).

If the headache persists, I would a brain CT scan may be needed.

Meanwhile, I would recommend taking Indomethacine twice daily, which can be helpful in this type of headache.

Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes,
Dr. Aida
