Why Do I Have Bad Pain In Stomach Where Skin Graft Was Done For A Burn ?
hi my name is Ms.wells i was burn when i was two years old. i have a skin graft on my stomach .. I m now 22 years old. I m currently 23 weeks pregnant and i m having bad pain in my stomach where the skin graft is at what should i do or what do u think is happening to me?
Hello, I can understand your concern for your symptoms. 1) Skin burn cause development of fibrosis which is rigid and tough tissue compare to normal skin and responsible for pain when being stretched. 2) Such large burnt fibrosed area was treated with skin grafting in past, which allow some amount of fibrosis to develop at margins of graft. 3) Being pregnant and stretched abdomen cause tension on such fibrosed region this can create some amount of pain at site of skin graft. 4) Being pregnant, you should avoid excessive use of analgesic medications as it might affect fetal growth. 5) Use of analgesic as local application in form of ointment is recommended.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any further doubts, I would be happy to help you. Have a nice day!
