Why Do I Have Bloating After Eating, Hardness In The Upper Stomach Apart From Substantial Weight Gain?
I have bloating after eating, upper stomach becomes mostly hard. I have gained about 10 pounds in the last month. I am very sensitive to medication in that I have adverse reactions to most prescriptions. I take natural supplements under the guidance of a nutritionist. I am currently taking berberine and a multi collagen supplement.
Bloating and hard stomach are mainly due to gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux, or irritable bowel disease. You can try tab. Rabeprazole before food for 3-4 weeks. OMEZ insta 1 sachet mixed in half glass of water can be consumed if the pain is too much. Avoid lying down after eating.
There must be at least 2 hours between your meals and sleep. Head is to be in elevated position than the rest of the body while sleeping. If your symptoms won't subside, even with the above treatment for 3 weeks, you need to consult a gastroenterologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
